Gender Fuck[er] is a collaboration between two makers Graham Adey (UK/SE) Keren Rosenberg (IL/NL). Through their exchange, they are looking to stir discussions around gender politics and the relevance it has within contemporary societies. How easily labels are put upon people and how we, as humans, are more comfortable when we can identify someone’s cultural place or purpose.
Gender fuck[er] examines the roles and perception of the male looking onto a female, taking it out of the traditional condition by morphing the female into a male and vice versa. Bring together two perspectives into one body which explores the fluidity of identity through the physical perception of gender. The work challenges the division of roles by unleashing and building a masculine conviction within a vulnerable yet powerful female body, looking into heterosexuality through a queer gaze.
